2024 Textured Sampler KAL Part 2

Materials (For the whole pattern):

• 450 grams of size 4 Worsted Weight yarn. You can do this all in one color, or up to 7 colors: 100 grams for your main color (MC) and 50-60 grams for each of 6 contrast colors
• Needles to match your yarn and make the density of fabric you like. I used 5.5mm needles with 36-inch cords
• Optional, but they are written in the pattern: 2 stitch markers

Gauge:

• 15 stitches per 4 inches, but this is not super important to get exact
• There is no row gauge

Key:

• K – knit
• P – purl
• KFB – knit front and back of the same stitch, increasing by a stitch
• YO – yarn over
• M1R/M1L – make one right/make one left
• K2tog – knit 2 stitches together, reducing by a stitch
• SSK – Slip 2 stitches knitwise, and then knit both slipped stitches together through the back loop
• BO – Bind off
• MC – main color
• PM – place stitch marker

Garter Section:

In the main color, knit every stitch for 10 rows

Instructions:

1. Change to color 2, Knit every stitch
2. K5, P to marker, K5
3. K5, (P1, K1) to marker, K5
4. K5, work each stitch in the manner it presents, K5
5. K5, (K1, P1, K2, P2, K1, P1) to marker, K5
6. K5, work each stitch in the manner it presents, K5
7. K5, (P1, K3, P3, K1) to marker, K5
8. K5, work each stitch in the manner it presents, K5
9. K5, (K4, P4) to marker, K5
10. K5, work each stitch in the manner it presents, K5
11. K5, (K3, P1, K1, P3) to marker, K5
12. K5, work each stitch in the manner it presents, K5
13. K5, (K2, P1, K1, P1, K1, P2) to marker, K5
14. K5, work each stitch in the manner it presents, K5
15. K5, (K1, P1) to marker, K5

    1. Optional: for a shorter piece, end the section here and skip to row 31
