- 450 grams of size 4 Worsted Weight yarn. You can do this all in one color, or up to 7 colors: 100 grams for your main color (MC) and 50-60 grams for each of 6 contrast colors
- Needles to match your yarn and make the density of fabric you like. I used 5.5mm needles with 36-inch cords

- 15 stitches per 4 inches, but this is not super important to get exact
- There is no row gauge

- YO – yarn over

Sewing up:
Please note that you do not have to sew this piece up; it works well as a blanket!
- Fold the piece in half. It does not matter which way, but I folded mine left to right so that one side of each section met the other side of the same sections
- Using mattress stitch, sew from the met corners up the sides of the garter panels towards the fold for at least 4 inches, or for as long as you want as long as you leave 9 inches from the fold unsewn for an armhole. Try on the piece before fastening off sewing yarn so you can adjust as necessary
